Here is what's coming up:

Youth Group

The first youth group date is September 12th. Both Jr. high and high school age students will meet at the Garfield building in the Seminar Room from 4-6p.m. This will be the regular meeting time throughout the school year. Getting Ahead

Many of you know that out church hosted and facilitated the course, "Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin'-By World: Building Your Resources for a Better Life." The goal of the course is to help people create their own path for making a stable, secure life for themselves and their families. We are beginning another class on September 7th. If you would like to help we could use assistance with childcare, providing snacks, and transportation (if necessary). Also, if you would like to sponsor an investigator (what "students" of Getting Ahead are called) to participate in the class the cost is $375.00. Every dollar is paid to the investigator for their participation and hard work during the course. Please contact Jay at the BVC office in response to any of this information: 259-VINE.

The Great Adventure

We are getting geared up for another great year with the kids of BVC in The Great Adventure. Classes will begin for infants - 6th grade starting Sunday September 12th. We will be having a meeting following church services, Sunday Sept. 5th, for everyone involved with serving in this ministry, and anyone that would like to become involved. We will meet in the Seminar room. If you are unable to make this meeting, please call Rhonda or Tes through the church office to let us know. I know everyone's schedules are becoming busy with the school year kicking off. We'll try to schedule a make up for those of you that can't be there. Bless you all!!

Kinship Groups

BVC will have three kinship groups running this fall! If you would like to get to know some of your church family better and experience more community and fellowship, joining a kinship group is a great way to accomplish that! The Laurel kinship will be lead by the Walls and Patti Zuck, meeting at Patti's house at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. The Heights kinship will be lead by the Bergstedts, hosted at the Andrews' house. The West End kinship will be lead by the McFarlanes, hosted by the Grunsteads. The rest of the details for the Bergstedt and McFarlane kinship, as well as the starting dates for each group, will be provided at a later date. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these kinships.
